Asif and his team have "adopted" a tent village in the earthquake stricken area. They named it "New Life Tent Village" and it has 55 families living there. Here, we can help in a more tightly focused way. As Asif and his team are still in the mountains, he has no possibilities sending us updates. But his dear wife has shared these good news with me. As soon as it is possibile for him, Asif will provide us with new updates! (The update is here now! Please click on the respective link above!)
In the meantime, I have set up a PayPal-Donation Account. Of course, you can continue to use the account Asif has provided. Yet using PayPal will save you service charges and handling fees. I will wait for a certain amount to accumulate in this account and then I will make a complete transfer to Asif's account. He will send reports telling us about the exact use of that money.

Even though many of us are having financial difficulties these days, we are still much better off then any of the survivors of this horrible earthquake catastrophe of October 8, 2005. Now, winter began with all its power and it is bitterly cold there in the mountains. I have seen pictures of children wearing socks only as they don't have shoes anymore... Many children, old and sick people won't survive this winter because they are lacking almost everything. Thus, the death toll of this catastrophe has not yet come to an end.
Especially now at Christmas, there are so many calls for donation. You might say "oh my, yet another donation call...". This might be so. And yet, I still would like to make you think about our possibilities to help, JUST BECAUSE they are focused on only ONE project. Like this things won't get too diffuse. And we are having an advantage point comparing to other donation organizations: these suffering people have not only lost possessions, but very often they have also lost their hopes. Now, WE can bring them new hope: JESUS CHRIST! In past times we have seen a lot how hungry they are for His truth, the Bread of Life. We have fantastic possibilities to give them JUST THAT - combined with practical help so they can experience teh love of God's family right there and then!
