Here in this section, I will upload reports and prayer requests for Christian life in Pakistan. Please understand that in most of cases, I cannot mention any names or places. We want to help our brothers and sisters there, not expose them to even more danger. I have honest, trustable sources there to give me first hand information on certain situations and facts there. We need to pray in one accord, lifting the requests up to God, who is ALWAYS IN CONTROL. God loves every single person on this planet. He weeps for every lost soul. So let us do all that we can to help Him reach out for His beloved people.

I just received alarming news from Asif. I am sure this is caused by some bad attacks from the enemy. First, Asif had to deal with bureaucratic problems concerning the supply of relief goods for "Nai Zindgi Tent-Village" which Asif and his team are overseeing now. Authorities did not want to observe the permits that Asif holds for this action and it took him 6 days to finanlly get the necessary papers to deliver the urgently needed mobile clinics. And now, the enemy switched over to front attacks: Asif's wife had to be hospitalized and get surgery... Please read Asif's report here:

On Firday, Dec 23rd, my wife went for a medical check up. She was complaining of slight chest pain and fever for the last couple of weeks but had no serious problems. She went through various tests and finally, the doctors found some kind of infection which women sometimes get while feeding babies. She never had any complaints, pain or problems ever before. The doctors suggested a surgery right away which we agreed to. So she went through a couple of hour long surgery and was in hospital for a couple of nights under observation. The infections have been removed totally from both sides and she feels much better. Our kids are much upset… My wife is on complete bed rest for three weeks… I’m running around (drove 10,500 KM in 45 days) in relief efforts… BIG challenge, but am sure your prayer support is always there and helps us stand in faith.

Please thank God for his help with the bureaucratic trouble and pray for my wife. Pray for our kids who are disturbed and upset due to her illness and no activities have taken place on Christmas, as we were in the Hospital the wholetime. Pray for me as am leaving again in 27th for Balakot and sure… will come home for new Year on 31st.

God bless and we love you,

Asif Jamshaid

This following article is one of the typical, sad stories happening in the country, which I will also upload here for you to understand the tragedy of pakistani everyday's life. Please pray fervently to our good God for helping this poor girl.

Christians protest against police on the kidnapping of 14 years old Christian girl “Asma” in Lahore.

A large gathering of Christians on Tuesday protested against Baghbanpura’s assistant superintendent of police (ASP)-Investigation for allegedly supporting a kidnapper. The protestors chanted slogans against police and appealed to higher authorities for justice. They said that Muhammad Abbas, a resident of Gohawa village, had kidnapped 14-year-old Christian girl Asma. They claimed that Asma’s family had appealed to the South Cantt police station to register a case but had been denied. They added that Abbas’s uncle Bashir had assured the family during a ‘Panchaiyat’ that the girl would be returned in a few days. However, Bashir later produced a fake marriage certificate saying Abbas and Asma had wedded. Asma’s brother Nadeem Masih had tried to contact higher authorities but Bashir and Abbas shot him and fled, said the protestors.

14th of August is Pakistan's Independence Day. We congratulate our readers and all who pray for Pakistan… BUT …”are Christians really independent in Pakistan?” Send your views now………

We will be in ISB to volunteer with TEEN Challenge (a Christian drug re-hab group) during the week of Sept. 5-9th. My wife and I will be running the facility all these days while staff and existing leaders will be out for a week long training program in Islamabad. Please keep us in your prayers as most of the youth in program belong to a majority background. Ask God to guide us as we share and help them come back to “LIFE”. Our kids will be with us on campus too. Pray for their health and that their presence will bring joy to all.

We are going to have three classes each day, e.g. the morning meetings which is basically a time of singing and the leader sharing something from the Word. The Group study is an 8-book curriculum with Teen Challenge to share from it. Really, most of the men are uneducated so the teaching is very basic. I am not sure which study they are on but we will have no problem with it. The 12-step meeting is run by one of the senior students with the leader just sitting in for a little direction. The therapeutic duties are all the cleaning of the facility each day. Daily review is an informal meeting to discuss any problems or issues of the day.

We are excited and looking forward to develop relations and bring change to the lives there. Pray for the Holy Spirit to be our guide and protector.

Pray for “EJAZ”
Ejaz, a 27 years old ministry worker has been sick for two months now. So far doctors are unable to diagnose him and have suggested various tests again. Looks like he is suffering from a joints disease (arthritis). Please also pray for IRAM, his wife, they are newly married.

Please pray for Mike (that's not his original name) who is meeting his son after 15 years. Mike gave his life to Christ a year ago and belongs to a M family.

One important general prayer request is to plead for God to shield this beautiful country and its precious people against all strongholds and demonic influences. We can clearly see here that it is a battle not against people but against pincipalities, strongholds and powers of the evil one, as it is mentioned in Eph. 6. Let us not take action against those evil powers, as this would always turn against ourselves. But let us proclaim Christ over this country! Christ, who has overcome the enemy on Calvary. God knows why He has allowed evil to still strike terror into people’s hearts. But the more I get to know God’s never ending love for myself, I begin to understand that by the existence of evil we can comprehend God’s true reality, grace and love more and more.

And another prayer request are the upcoming prayer walks in different Pakistani cities throughout next month.
