Well this is me, Birgit Barandica! I have one grown up son and was born in 1958, the best year ever!! Weeeeelll...  I am what we call here in Germany, a "northern light", since I come from the northern city of Hamburg. For 6 long years, I was living in southern Bavaria but moved back to my northern home area by the end of 2011. I am living in an area called Friesland, right at the North Sea coast! For several years, I'm working as a translator, working mostly on American Christian books as well as some TV documentaries and other material. In October 1992 I became a Christian. This is the very best thing that could have ever happened in my life! I was searching for God for a long time. And I mean a long time...I am sure I could have avoided certain unpleasant situations in my life, had I come to Christ earlier, but God's timing is perfect and even today, He can use those unpleasant situations for His glory. Sometimes we are so rebellious and think we know it all, don't we? But God knows when time is right. As wonderful as it was to personally meet Jesus then, I was also embarressed to realize how I had so constantly ignored Him before. How awesome it is to have such a merciful God! He knows and understands our rebellion, our sin and guilt. Yet, He loves us so much that He immediately forgives us 100%, if we come to Him to receive His Son and His gift of salvation!
Follow up, March 2013: Several years have gone by since the beginning of this website in 2005, in which I got to know God much deeper and received a lot of insight. A big and deep change came with the 2nd half of the year 2007. I had a big crisis in my life and cried almost daily to God for help. At a certain time He answered, yet not the way I was thinking, but He began giving me insights in relation to our Hebrew faith roots. It was overwhelmingly awesome!
One year later, I could add a new sublink to the ReadingRoom (to your left), called "Messianic", where you can find more info on that subject. In relevant articles and links to Messianic ministries, you will find deeper insights in the manifold aspects of the biblical faith, the first covenant und how it applies to us even nowadays, toward Israel and to a bigger understanding concerning Jesus/Yeshua and His teachings. Because of lack of time, I wasn't able to work on this website for quite some time already. Yet most of the articles here are timeless, so it shouldn't be a problem.
Concerning present-time situations, you can find me on Facebook if you're having a profile there too. You are welcome to send me a friend request if you are interested in messianic and Israel subjects. There I am sharing articles that the international media usually doesn't mention, or if they do, the they do it in a distorted way so that the reality is difficult to see.
Sadly, those untrue aspects shared in the media caused a situation to rise as it is described prophetically in Zecheriah 12,3b, "And all the nations of the earth will gather against it (Jerusalem)." This is happening right before our own eyes...! Yet in the following verses of the chapters 12-14, God promises Israel's victory. Next to the books of Revelation, Daniel and others, these are typical texts for the last days of the endtime in which we are living now. We are close to a new era, the Millenium after Yeshua's (Jesus) return to earth.
