Compass Direct, Voice of the Martyrs VOM-USA News, January 17, 2006, released the following, referring to the article here under:

Last week in the Punjabi town of Sangla Hill, a Pakistani Muslim dropped formal charges against a Christian he had accused of setting fire pages of the Koran. Last November Mohammed Saleem's accusation triggered a violent reprisal from local Muslims, destroying four churches and landing Yousaf Masih in jail for allegedly desecrating the Koran. As part of a reconciliation agreement reached by local Muslim and Christian leaders on January 5th, Saleem signed an affidavit declaring Masih innocent. Local Christian leaders agreed not to press charges against the mob of 2,000 Muslims who attacked the town's Christian community. Police have held 88 rioters in custody since the assault. It is not yet clear how the agreement will affect legal proceedings. Bail has been denied to the 88 rioters, and Masih also remains under arrest.

Offer praises and thanksgiving for this answer to prayer. Pray Masih will soon be released. Pray the Muslim who made the unfounded charges that caused all the destruction will be led to repent and receive forgiveness from Jesus.

Attack on Churches in Pakistan

News from God Love Ministry International GLMI

It is time to pray for Christians in Pakistan. There was an attack on Christans by Muslims on Saturday, 12th November 2005 at 10 am, Nankana Sahib Tahsil District. Sangla Hill city is about 40 km away from Faisalabad. More then 10,000 Muslims were involved to demolish the Christians in Town. The crowd was so aggressive they burnt down 4 Churches, 4 Christian Schools, 3 buildings, 6 houses and its belongings. Among the 4 schools were St. Paul High School and St. Anthony School. They destroyed Nuns Hostel, Nursing Hostel, Catholic Church and Parish Hall. The house of Pastor Tujamal Perveez. One church in Chat Tha Chack and one church in Machher Colony is all destroyed, burnt with chemicals and that chemical looked like the chemical which was used in 1998 at the Shanti Nagar incident when many our churches and houses were demolished and burnt down.

The Christian families were beaten by angry Muslims. Muslim religious leaders made barbarous speeches against the Christian minority.

According to Christian witnesses there was a problem between Yousaf Mashi and his Muslim gambler friends over money. They refused to pay and created this horrible drama.

My question is for Pakistani media. Why are they neglecting justice with the minority in Pakistan? Why do they never show the right picture about the minorities?
