Praise be to our Lord - Asif and his family are well! The earthquake was very strongly felt in Faisalabad but praise God, no further damage or loss is to be mourned there. The city was too far away from the epicenter. Asif at once went to the most devastated area in Islamabad to help wherever he can. This is his report. Please read it and help with prayer and, if you can, with donations!

VICTIMS EMERGENCY FOOD AND BLANKET DISTRIBUTION
Dear friends,
Thanks for your prayers and concern. We are blessed and safe. My wife and kids are in Faisalabad, but I am in Islamabad working/helping with the relief teams. Over 30,000 people are dead or injured and 2.5 million are homeless. I can’t explain what am seeing here. I can’t control my tears coming out, praying and asking for God’s mercy. Two school buildings collapsed within 3-5 minutes and over 200 children died and are still laying under debris.
Over 200 dead kids and their teachers are still lying under these rubbles...
A large number of groups and relief agencies have arrived, working hard to deliver warm blankets, food, clean water etc. Local communities are getting together to collect, send out volunteers and accommodate homeless at different spots.
Morning Star Development is supplying emergency food and blankets to 1000+ families who are victims of the recent earthquake in northern Pakistan where 40,000 are feared dead. Asif just called my attention to something sad which unfortunately happens often in catastrophies: brazen business people try to take advantage out of those suffering by "selling" water, food and blankets at exorbitant prices. Please pray for them not to advance even one step in this...
