New Christian Video Website to Rival YouTube - It's GodTube.com
Martha MacCullum/AH, Breaking Christian News BCN, March 25, 2007
"If the rate of interest continues, within 45 days 'Godtube' will be the most visited Christian site on the internet."
The official launch date of the brand new video website, Godtube.com, is May 1st, but you'd never know it if you visited the website today, as people have already begun uploading their Christian-based videos, and watching others.
Chris Wyatt, who was one of the youngest executive producers in Hollywood, and who also worked with CBS, came up with the idea of a Christian video website that functioned in a way similar to YouTube.com. The CEO of Godtube.com did not realize at first, just how big his site would become, but tested the waters with a single server for friends, family and investors.
Within 60 days, Godtube.com became the most trafficked Christian streaming video site on the net, and if the rate of interest continues, within 45 days Godtube will be the most visited Christian site on the internet.
To insure that there is no harmful content uploaded to the site by users, Wyatt says there is a manual approval process. "We take a look at it for the content itself, and then we look at the theological implications. We have a lot of theologians who are actually helping us with that right now," he explains.
