I s l a m a b a d (idea) - Muslim etremists are selling children into slavery in Pakistan. With the proceeds of such sales, terrorist actions are being financed. These machinations have been exposed by a Pakistani and a US missionary.
Wirepuller of this slave trade is Gul Khan, a leading member of Jamaat-du Daawa (JUD), an organization linked to Al-Qaida. They are being classified by the US-Foreign Ministry as a terrorist sub-organization. Yet in Pakistan itself, they count as socially engaged. As to Islam expert and director of help organization Barnabas Fund, Patrick Sookhdeo (Pewsey/England), children between six and twelve years of age are being abducted from Christian remote villages in the Punjab area. They are being numbed, beaten and locked in under most primitive conditions, until being sold at around €1400,00 (about US$ 1800,00). Most of the time, they are being forced into sex and household slavery.
Both missionaries had dicovered photos of such children on a black market in Quetta. They managed to buy back 20 boys, pretending to be businessmen from Lahore. At the same time, they filmed Kan secredly when he accepted money for 17 boys. For Sookhdeo this slave trade is an extreme example of the widespread discrimination and repression of Christians in Pakistan; the traditional teachings of Islam concerning the second-rate status of Non-Muslims produce scornfulness toward the Christian minority. This is how dicrimination, injustice and indignitiy emerge. Of 156 millionen population in Pakistan, 96 % are Muslims, 2,3% Christians and about 1,5 % Hindus.
