India: A Converted Pastor Survives
translated by Birgit B. Eichberger

Paul Ciniraj Mohammed of Kottayam/Kerala/India is pastor and leader of "Salem Voice Ministries" and takes care of orphanages, village schools and alphabetization centers for grown-ups. The attack happened last March 16, when he was hit on his motorbike by a motor riksha on his way home. He had his knee fractured. Police assumes an assassination attempt, yet did not take up findings. Three days after this incident, armed men tried to enter pastor Paul's home by force.

Paul Ciniraj is one of those who called the World Day of the Bible into being. It is so sad that in certain parts of this world people try to kill those who love Jesus. Yet these are sad facts in this life, this is the reason why for this sublink. I'd like to draw your attention to this shattering effect of persecution. Much too often, this is not being observed. I ask you to check out the website of Open Doors, an internationally operating help organization for persecuted Christians, in order to get an exact picture of this worldwide situation.

Please pray for pastor Paul Ciniraj's soon recovery. Also pray for financial support as his hospitalization and surgery caused him and his family financial troubles. They have already had help, but there are still open invoices...
