Hi, I am Miller. For quite some time already, I came to Mercy Mission for daycare. Since the beginning of February 2006, I am constantly living here.

My mom had to flee our village, because of rebel groups wanting to kill her. She knew too much about them. She could not care for us with that little money she is earning. Us, that is my smaller sister and my 2 brothers. I had to do the laundry for other people, in order for us to have enough to eat. But it was not enough for school. One of my brothers, Wilkerson, is now living with my dad in the countryside. My parents are seperate for several years already. My younger brother and sister are staying with my mom. I visit them regularly.

When my mom feels bad, I get very sad. Once, I even took a lot of pills because I did not want to go on living.

When we still lived in the countryside, I was 10 years old back then and had to stay home alone sometimes. Then one of my uncles came and raped me. My mom did not want to believe me when I told her about it. This was so bad for me.

Sometimes, I think I am ugly, because I am not as slim as the other girls and the boys are commenting mean on it.

Here, I feel very fine. I have enough clothings and can attend school. I also love going to church. I have been baptized September 2005. Now, I help at church being an usher.

I have a lady sponsor who supports me in my schooling. Yet, who is willing to help out for my transportation fees and maintenance?
